Oslo Rådhus (Oslo City Hall)
Participants are invited to attend the Welcome Reception that will take place at Oslo Rådhus (Oslo City Hall). This event opens the 43rd EFA Annual Meeting, giving an excellent opportunity to network, meet old friends and colleagues, as well as meet new people as the program begins.
Participation details
The event is included in the registration fee for the EFA Annual Meeting. The doors of Oslo Rådhus will open for EFA 2016 participants at 19:00. Please note that guests can access the building until 20:00
Due to security reasons Oslo city authorities ask for the following in order to access the building:
- each participant must carry his/her own Welcome Reception ticket. Participants can collect their tickets at the Registration Desk located at BI Norwegian Business School from 15:00 to 18:00, or at Oslo Rådhus from 18:45. Those tickets that are not collected before 19:30 will be given away to participants in the waiting list.
- each participant must show an Identification Card (ID). Your identification card must show the same name used to register for the EFA 2016 Annual Meeting.
Oslo city authorities will deny access to participants not following the above regulation.
Accompanying person registration
Participants are welcome to bring their spouses/partners/guests to this event. All accompanying persons must be listed in the online participant registration.
The same rules for accessing the building apply to accompanying persons:
- each accompanying partner must carry his/her own Welcome Reception ticket. Participants can collect their tickets at the Registration Desk located at BI Norwegian Business School, from 13:00 to 18:00.
- each accompanying partner must show an Identification Card (ID). Your identification card must show the same name used to register for the EFA 2016 Annual Meeting.

Oslo Rådhus
The Oslo City Hall houses the city council, city administration and art galleries. The building is famous for hosting the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony every year on December 10 . It is also known for its characteristic architecture. The construction of the building started in 1931, but was paused because of the outbreak of World War II and finally was finished in 1950 .
The main hall of the building is covered with mural paintings of several famous Norwegian artist of the last century. During the Welcome Reception our guests will get the opportunity to visit the main hall.
